The girls of Lalesso give an intimate look of their new 2012 Spring Summer range, available online and in stores in October 2012. Their range is young and adventurous and imbibes what it means to be a young african woman. Using neon colours with african inspired prints they found a  great location in the crisp white and blue backgrounds of the dunes at Arniston, South Africa.  They have been able to effectively showcase their new range in a fun and professional manner, focusing on the visual aesthetic that makes it appealing to all who see it. The shoot was conducted by Bigsky Productions in Cape Town 2011. The shoot was for TuStyle (an italian fashion editorial). Shots were done by Andrea

Olivo, Styling by Rita Benedetto and Hair and Make-up by Janine Pritschow. The model is the beautiful Shannon from Ice.

We shot this editorial story in Hout bay on a beautiful Cape town Summer’s day. The team worked well with each other and the mood was proffessional and fun. The resulting pictures are beautiful and truely imbibe what photographer Andrea Olivo was trying to achieve.

We set off one Sunday on a whimsical shoot, VC had heard a new song by Aking and he wanted to shoot a music video for them using kids. The idea developed and we settled on a timeless cocept of young boys playing in the garden unsupevised. In the time before computer games everyone played outside, played in the mud, with water, dressing up and being silly. This is what we wanted to achieve. This year Lalesso shot their 2012 catalogue in South Africa. We drove the 2 hours from Cape town to the pristine white dunes at Arniston, which is mere kilometers from the southern most tip of Africa. Lalesso is ready to launch its very new and exciting range of clothes for 2012. This year they have increased their appeal with a fresh and dynamic look, yet distinctly African. Lalesso is distinct in creating modern neo-african chiche. An african child of the future, heavily grounded in the traditions of the past, but inspired by the overwhelming nature and persistence of the Africa continent. Lalesso is heavily invested in its ethical responsibility to development in Africa – directly  focused on fair trade and african production. They are an example of how “trade not aid” is the way forward and how africa can do it for itself. Furthermore Lalesso imbibes all that is best about african fashion, it is fresh, imaginative, and focused on making african fashion and fabrics available and desirable to an international market . That is why Lalesso remains at the fore front of african fashion and is an inspiration to all who see it and buy it.
